How to set up FRITZ! Box 7490 for NBN FTTB/N

Please follow the steps below to set up your FRITZ! Box 7490.

  1. Plug a phone cable from NBN wall socket into the grey DSL/TLE port on your FRITZ! Box Router.

  2. Using the supplied power cable, connect the FRITZ! Box's Power port to an electrical outlet and turn it on.

  3. Connect a device to your FRITZ! Box via WiFi or Ethernet cable and go to http://192.168.178.1 in your browser.
  4. Log in with your FRITZ! Box password. By default the password can be either admin or admin123.
  5. On the home screen, click Internet.
  6. Click Account Information.
  7. Select Other Internet service provider from the Internet service provider drop down.
  8. Enter iiNet.
  9. Tick the box next to Connection to a DSL line.
  10. Tick the box next to Yes for Account Information.
  11. Enter your iiNet Username and Password.
  12. Click Apply.
  13. Click View: Standard to switch to Advanced view.
  14. Click Internet.
  15. Click Account Information.
  16. Click Change connection settings.
  17. Untick the checkbox next to Delay disconnection by provider to the period between.
  18. Tick the checkbox next to VLAN for internet access.
  19. Enter 2 in the text box next to VLAN-ID.
  20. Click Apply
  21. Click Internet.
  22. Click DSL Information
  23. Click Line Settings.
  24. Tick the checkbox next to Annex B under Annex Settings.
  25. Click Apply.
