iiNet Modem WiFi Channel Settings
If you have a third party modem, please consult your modem's user manual or check the manufacturer's website for support information.

Select your modem:

TP-Link VR1600v
- On a device that's connected to your modem, open your web browser and go to http://192.168.1.1
- Log in with the default username admin and default password admin, or use your custom login details.
- Click the Advanced tab, then select Wireless > Wireless Settings. You'll see the 2.4GHz WiFi settings by default.
- Select the desired channel from the Channel drop-down menu.
- Set Channel Width to 20MHz.
- Click Save to finish.
TG-1 or TG-789 Broadband Gateway
- On a device that's connected to your modem, open your web browser and go to http://10.1.1.1
- For TG-1s: Log in with the default username "admin" and default password “admin”, or use your custom login details.
For TG-789s: Log in with the unique default password printed on the modem's barcode sticker (example below) or use your custom login details. - Click the Wireless panel on the dashboard.
- Select the desired channel from the Channel drop-down menu.
- Set Channel Width to 20MHz.
- Click Save to finish.
Cable Gateway Pro (EPC3940L)
- On a device that's connected to your modem, open your web browser and go to http://192.168.0.1
- Log in with the default username admin and default password password, or use your custom login details. If this fails, try leaving both fields blank.
- In the top menu bar, select Advanced.
- Select Wireless.
- Under "2.4GHz Radio", set Channel Width to 20MHz.
- Select the desired channel from the Control Channel drop-down menu.
- The results of an interference check will be shown and changes will be saved automatically.
Huawei HG532d, HG658 or HG659
- On a device that's connected to your modem, open your web browser and go to http://192.168.1.1
- Log in with the default username admin and default password admin, or use your custom login details.
- In the left-hand column, click Basic and then select WLAN.
- Select the desired channel from the Channel drop-down menu.
- Set 11N Band Width to 20.
- Click Submit to finish.
iiNet NetComm NB16WV-02
These instructions will only work for the NetComm NB16WV-02 purchased from the iiNet Group.
- On a device that's connected to your modem, open your web browser and go to http://10.1.1.1
- Log in with the default username admin and default password admin, or use your custom login details.
- At the bottom of the page, click Switch to advanced view.
- Click Network Setup in the top menu bar and then select Wireless 2.4GHz from the drop-down menu.
- Select the desired channel from the Channel drop-down menu.
- Set Channel Bandwidth to 20MHz Only.
- Click Save to finish.
Budii or Budii Lite
- On a device that's connected to your modem, open your web browser and go to http://10.1.1.1
- Log in with the default password admin, or use your custom password.
- Select 2. Set up my wireless from the top menu bar.
- Select the desired channel from the Channel drop-down menu.
- Set Bandwidth to 20MHz.
- Click Save settings to finish.
BoB2 or BoB Lite
- On a device that's connected to your modem, open your web browser and go to http://10.1.1.1
- Log in with the default password admin, or use your custom password.
- Select 2. Set up my wireless from the top menu bar.
- Select the desired channel from the Channel drop-down menu.
- Set Bandwidth to 20MHz.
- Click Save settings to finish.
