How to set up Netgear Orbi RBK50 for NBN FTTC

Please follow the steps below to set up your Netgear Orbi RBK50.

Important: Before you get started, ensure your Orbi is running on the latest firmware from Netgear.

  1. Ensure your NBN Connection Device is turned on.
  2. Plug an Ethernet cable from the yellow Gateway port on your NBN Connection Device into the yellow Internet port on your Orbi.

  3. Plug in the power cable and turn your Orbi on using the Power button.

  4. Connect a device to your Orbi via WiFi or Ethernet cable and go to http://192.168.0.1 or http://www.routerlogin.net in your browser.
    By default these are:
    Username: admin
    Password: password
  5. On the home screen, click Advanced.
  6. Click Setup.
  7. Click Internet Setup.
  8. Click Yes under Does your Internet connection require a login?
  9. Select PPPoE as Internet Service Provider.
  10. Enter your iiNet username and password.
  11. Click Apply.
  12. Click Advanced Setup.
  13. Click VLAN/Bridge Settings.
  14. Enable VLAN/Bridge group.
  15. Select By VLAN tag group.
  16. Enter 2 in VLAN ID.
  17. Enter 0 in Priority.
  18. Leave the other settings as they are and click Apply.
